“Not much has changed” – political lion and panther illustration

An illustration depicting how racism towards the black community in the United States has not changed much from the late 1800’s to now, in the present.

The left side of the drawing depicts acts from the reconstruction era and Jim crow. The right side depicts acts by police in the 21st century. A confederate flag and the KKK symbol is shown in between the two time periods.

Anthropomorphic big cats are used as metaphorical symbolism, white lions to represent white Americans and panthers to represent black Americans.
