Danaë 2015 – self portrait oil painting assignment

An oil painting self portrait based on Danaë, a well known theme in the fine arts.

There are two women in a bedroom full of red and yellow drapery. One woman with brown skin laying on the bed wearing a blue crop top and green skirt.

The second woman in the back dressed like a maid holding a bar of soap in her hand. There is a tub of water on the floor in front of the bed.

This is the first ever oil painting that I did, created for a homework assignment in my junior year of high school.
