“When I was seven years old” – A drawing about childhood

A watercolor and ink drawing of a young black girl sitting on a gemstone. she is shown drawing herself on the wall, as historical events of that era surround the drawing.

The gemstone has five sheets of paper pinned to it. The papers read: LONELINESS, NO FRIENDS, NO SOCIAL SKILLS, NO PETS ALLOWED – MOM, BULLYING, DIVORCE.

I drew this after I graduated High School, to process my emotions towards my childhood and the abuse that took place there.
